Clifford Wilson Chappell “Cliff”, 75, of Hinton, passed away February 23, 2018 in Oklahoma City. He was born June 11, 1942 in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of Orin and Glenice (Purchase) Chappell. Cliff was raised in Sedalia and was a 1960 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had been a resident of Hinton for the past 20 years. Cliff worked as a rig fabricator and enjoyed long trips on his motorcycle and entertaining his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Chappell and a nephew, Blake Chappell. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Linda Chappell of Arcadia; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Steve Young of Sedalia, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Chase Chappell and wife Shyla, Cole Chappell, Jennifer and husband Jeff Crooks, Stacy Turner and husband Charlie, and a host of other great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at the chapel of Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Oklahoma Veterans Hospital especially the ICU and Palliative Care, John and Judy DeWitt and Dwayne and Cindy Wilson for their friendship and support.
