Clyde M. Clayton, 83, of Newalla passed away January 10, 2011. He was born on August 16, 1927, in Piedmont, OK. He was the son of the late Clyde and Lena Clayton. Mr. Clayton served his country in the United States Air Force for nine years, eleven months, and nineteen days. He married Marjorie Howard and later married Dorothy Geer who preceded him in death in December 2005. Clyde was retired from his job at Tinker Air Force Base for many years, enjoyed raising Quarter Horses and loved his family.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his children, sons: Billy Clayton and wife Janet of Newcastle, Jackie Clayton and wife Debbie of Midwest City and Joe Clayton and wife Jan of Choctaw; daughters: Sharon Stogsdill and husband Bill of Howe, TX, Vicki Hutchins of Bonham, TX and Becky Ball and husband Ronnie of Bonham, TX. Mr. Clayton has 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Bob Clayton of Missouri and sisters Lillie Russell and Lila Cole of Midwest City, OK. He was preceded in death by one grandson Jason Stogsdill, and sister Ila Lee Biddle.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman, OK.
