Dee Ann Pettengill

Dee was born on January 6, 1951, to Anthony Joseph Matunis and Yvonne Requetta Matunis (née Coleman) in Oklahoma City, OK.

She graduated from Choctaw High School in 1969. Although she attended some college, her dream and greatest ambition was to be a housewife and mother—roles she embraced with excellence. She was the loving mother of three children from her previous marriage to Eldon James Crager: Requetta Caye Martin (née Crager), Margaret Estylene Humphrey (née Crager), and Andee James Crager.

On June 15, 1985, she married Gerald Pettengill and welcomed one more precious child, Jennifer Lee Tomczak (née Pettengill).

Dee worked in the healthcare field, first with Mercy Hospital as the office manager in Home Health Care, and later with St. Anthony Hospital as the office manager in their OASIS Senior program.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gerald Wayne Pettengill, of the home; her children Requetta Martin and husband Neal of Chickasha, Margaret Humphrey of Del City, Andee Crager and wife Brenda of Midwest City, and Jennifer Tomczak and husband David of Yukon. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Joseph and Yvonne Requetta Matunis; her in-laws, Edwin and Wilma Pettengill; one grandson, Tyler Martin; and her son-in-law, Thomas William Humphrey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM, just prior to the service at Eisenhour Funeral Home, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location, with interment immediately afterward at Kolb Cemetery, 3706 N. Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City.
