I knew Dennis in the late 70s and early 80s, he was so funny, especially when he laughed and talked at the same time, we lived together for awhile, I would go to the bars with him, usually red dog and a bar on 10th street he used to bounce at, I saw him occasionally over the years, he was my oldest friend,  I loved him,  can anyone tell me how he died?

I have known Dennis and his family since around 1970 we were best friends untill his first accident,( 1980 or 1981) when he lost most of the memories of our child hood, teenage and adult years we had spent together. As we both grew older we kept in touch, not as much as I would have liked too. The last time we spoke was in 2008, I was sad to hear of his passing when I arrived in OKC on June 30th for vacation and was going to track him down, as I have done many times before.Dennis was always on my mind thru out the years and I will miss him dearly. Goodbye my friend!

uncle dennis this is very hard but i just keep thinking about all the good times all the laughing sleep overs with the girls working on cars and bikes the nights we would watch movies birthday partys and then all the tears and losses and than four years ago to run back into you and it was like no time  had passed you gave me the biggest hug and told me you loved me and after that going to get you for cookouts to spend time with you and my dad and eat and have a couple beers it brought back soo many awesome memories from being a lil girl than my dad passed away and there my uncle dennis was a shoulder for me to cry on a wise person to fill me with courage and wisdom thank you without being able to call and talk to you i couldn't have made it thru it you were an amazing person i love you.. im thinking about you aunt tiz jenilee melia and denise you guys are family and im here if you need anything

Dennis has always been one of our family members that made us laugh and will always be remembered as a great father,uncle,and friend.....we love you Dennis!!!! The Lewis bunch

My Dennis. He came into my life through my mom and we built our own relationship after that. He stood beside me when I was alone dealing with hard life lessons and always had a big hug and a kiss to make me feel better. He helped get my son in trouble on a regular basis when my son was 4 and would take the blame so he wouldn't get into trouble. He was there to help me with my youngest son when I was a single mom and I couldn't lift or strain to pull myself up out of my chair. The talks we had about his baby girls and the grandbaby. I will forever hold his laugh, smile, and comic relief close to my heart. Know Dennis that Dalton will always be there to help protect "his" girlfriend Denise. We love you. I hope all of his adopted family that went to the heavens before him are there to show him around and get the party started. I will miss you, but i know you will be watching and protecting us from afar. RIP my sweet brother Dennis. I love you.

Dennis always had a smile on his face and was great with my girls. Have happy memories of him visiting at my moms and my sister's house. Love you Dennis

Oh Dennis, we go back so many years. You always knew how very special you were to me and my home was always opene to you. My door always unlocked to allow you to drop in and rest your body, take a shower or have a meal. Your unconditional love was overwhelming. I miss hearing your laugh and that sparkle in your eye would light up my heart. I am so thankful I had a long visit with Dennis at Cowboys wake. Yes, he shared his pictures of his girls and had to tell me how proud he was of them. Know girls you were very blessed to have him in your life. We hugged and he had to lay on a kiss or two, sharing that he had always loved me and how he had always had a crush on me. He always knew how to make an ol gal feel special. We laughed and hugged and because of that day I have peace to know this wonderful man had lived a good life. He is loved by many and will continue to live on in all our hearts. His laugh will always ring in our hearts and bring a smile to our face when we think of him. How many others can say that about their legacy? Rest in Peace my dear friend. I love you too

Dennis was a very unique person, always friendly and happy. He adored his girls and grand baby. I don't ever remember a conversation with him that they weren't the main topic. You are all in our thoughts and we love you.

I know that Dennis will be greatly missed by our family and friends. I still remember the one Thanksgiving he fell asleep with Denise on his chest. It seems like it was only yesterday. We miss you already.

I keep wanting to pick up the phone and talk to Dennis. We talked at least 3 times a week. I loved Dennis, always will. I will keep him in my heart forever. Dennis adored all of his girls. He would take their pictures out of his wallet and they had been shown so many times that they were worn out with love. I have spent the past few days in tears over my friend but laugh at some of the silly things I recall. To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die. Dennis lives in all of our hearts now. RIP Dennis, I love you,

Being a 12 year old girl, meeting Dennis for the first time with a face full of hair, sarcasm to last for days, and a look that could make you freeze in your tracks was quite intimidating to say the least! Until you heard his laugh that was very contagious made that intimidation fly right out the window! It was hard not to love him, not to joke around with him, not to shoot the sarcasm right back at him! Having know him for 20 years was not long enough however I will take that in a heartbeat verses not have ever having the opportunity to have him grace me with his presence! I was given one of the biggest hugs by Dennis this February and I will forever remember that hug and smile as I told him goodbye. For my sweet sisters my love and thoughts are with you all, I'm glad I will get to go down memory lane and we have such great memories of Dennis! To Dennis until we meet again my dear friend until we meet again!

I can't stop thinking about Dennis since I heard the news.  I keep hearing his voice and that laugh of his!  the way he would lean against a door with both hands in his pockets.  all the little things that were so uniquely "Dennis"  There will never be another "Creature" on this earth like him.  I know I didn't see much of him the past few years but all was right in the world because I knew he was in it.  now everything just seems out of sorts.  If you knew Dennis then you were automatically family to him.  He was welcomed into the family of everybody he met.  thankfully I have way too many happy memories of him to be able to share,  I couldn't pick just one because there are so many of them. There is a big welcoming party going on in Heaven tonite and Dennis is the guest of honor.
