

Donald Dwane Livesay, of Midwest City, OK, died on March 22, 2017. Don was born on August 9, 1937, in Clinton, OK, to Robert Franklin and Lorene Beatrice (Cruson) Livesay and graduated from Clinton High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma City University, and his Master’s Degree from Oklahoma State University.
He served 40 years in the Oklahoma National Guard, attended the Army War College and was inducted into the Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame in Ft. Benning, GA. He was a member of the Del City Church of Christ for 40 years where he served as a deacon and elder.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ellyn; three children, daughters, Lezlie Seal (Mitch), Suzanne Guymon, and son, Mark Livesay (Andrea); nine grandchildren, Michael Guymon (Rhen), Corey Guymon, Austin Guymon, Katie Thiery, and Jonathan Thiery, Sam, Tommy, Molly, and Sarah Livesay; brother, Jack Livesay (Anne); sister, Sandra Cherry (Don).
The family will be receiving guests from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Del City Church of Christ. A private family interment will be held at the Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to cancer research at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
