

Dorothy retired from the US Postal Service after working for over 25 years and was also a longtime member of the Harrah Church of Christ where she not only served the Lord, but made lifelong friends that she considered family. She married Amos Eli Overturf on July 16, 1949, in Midwest City. She loved collecting Santa Claus items, sewing, embroidering tea towels. Specialties included making homemade pies and noodles, and she had the ability to bring people together through hospitality and food. Dorothy cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; each of them had a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Amos; sister, Annabelle Nobles; and brother, Luther Wyatt. Survivors include her children, Gene Overturf (Susie), Kathrine Tramel (Don), Patricia Overturf; grandchildren, Tammy Tramel, Todd Tramel (Tiffany), Ian Tramel, Amy Seiger (Jeremy), Mandy Shank (Nathan); great-grandchildren, Blake, Nicky, Garrett, Cadyn, Paityn, Halie, Jayce; special sister and brother in law, Pearl and Lynn May; sisters, Viola Williams and Beulah Irwin; and several brother in laws, nieces, nephews and other family members and a host of church family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Harrah Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
