Eithne “Sharon” Mary (McEvoy) Rice, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Eithne was born on December 28, 1943 in Dublin, Ireland to Patrick and Maureen (Barton) McEvoy. She was affectionately known as “Sharon”.
She married the love of her life, Willie J. “Jim” Rice on November 21, 1964 in England. To this union two children were born, Curtis and Sharlene. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She valued the time she spent with her family and friends.
Sharon’s personality charmed and befriends everyone who knew her. For many years, she worked as a Catering Manager at Tinker Air Force Base Officer Club. Sharon enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing Bingo, and excursions to the casinos.
Sharon has been reunited with her parents, and sister, Eileen McEvoy. She is survived by her husband Willie of 53 years, son, Curtis Rice; daughter, Sharlene Doyle and her husband, Robert; sister, Nuala McEvoy; grandchildren, Dr. Mason Curtis Rice, Curtis Rice, Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.
