

He served during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force and took great pride in the awards that his squadron won in the gunnery meets. Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, golf, square dancing, and playing his guitar. He was a very talented woodworker, making anything one might need for his family and church members. He attended the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since the late 80s and, was also a member of the Good Samaritan Camping Club. Paw Jack loved arm wrestling with his two great-grandson’s Nolan and Jacob, and most recently took great delight in meeting his newest great-granddaughter, Emma via face time. Paw Jack also loved attending all of his grand and great-grandchildren’s extracurricular activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Alma; daughter, Debbie McBee (Matt); grandchildren, Kellie Meiwes (John), Kyle McBee (Cayleigh); great-grandchildren, Nolan and Jacob Meiwes and Emma McBee. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
