Sonny was a devout Christian who loved to study the Bible, teach Sunday school. He enjoyed working in his yard, and appreciated hard work. Working as a barber he met many friends over the last 50 years. He was a loving family man and will be dearly missed.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, Danny Dye and Erma Cozens. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy; children, Penny Ferguson (Frank), Connie Creed, Belinda Nichols (Jimmy); grandchildren, Brian Ferguson, Ashley Soward (Josh), Tyler Creed (Ashley), Carie Coleman (Brittni); great-grandchildren, Kendal and Brianna Ferguson, Avery and Zane Soward, Weston and Wyatt Creed; siblings, Rita Dallas, Rickey Dye (Mary); and his beloved pets, Gabby, Sophie and Allie.
A memorial service will be held at Harrah Church, 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
