Forrest Woodrow Yates, age 90, was born January 30, 1918 in Slapout, Oklahoma to Clark and Hazel (Johnson) Yates. Forrest served his country proud in the Army. He had an active military career and loved to travel. He worked on the radio system on the 1st Airforce One. He worked with two presidents- Eisenhower and Truman. He was in charge of the electronics in the White House and was known to fix a few of the senators tv's. He was also a part of the atomic bomb. He helped raise 8 children and took in foster children. He worked himself up from a telephone line repairman to an electrical engineer. Forrest is survived by 3 sons: Wayne, Clark, and Woody; 3 daughters: Barbara, Linda, and Pattie; 1 brother: Clark; 3 sisters: Opal, Elvadean, and Rilla; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, sons: Mike and Rick and daughter Diane; brother: John; sister: Ruby
