Jack Ray Engle Sr. was born on April 25, 1947, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Olland Ivan and Dorothy (Lee) Engle. He passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2022 at the age of 74. He was the eighth child out of ten children and was the youngest son. He grew up in Newkirk, Oklahoma and graduated from Newkirk High School in 1965. On February 18, 1966, he married his high school sweetheart and the love his life Connie Horniek. The couple made their home in Del City, OK and have been married for 56 years. Jack and Connie had 3 children, Jack Ray Jr, Sheila and Jaime. Jack was the co-owner of Jack’s Auto Service for 39 years. He retired from Napa Auto Parts in 2014 after 25 years of service. Jack has been a cancer survivor for over twenty years after going into remission from Leukemia. He will be remembered by his quick wit, his practical jokes, and the love for his family.
He is survived by his wife Connie Engle of the home, daughter Sheila (Toby) Youngblood of Glenpool, OK, daughter Jaime Engle of Del City, OK, granddaughter Kaylee (Clint) Dement of Del City, OK, granddaughter Taylor (Bunyan) Johnson of Henryetta, OK, granddaughter Shelbi (Brendan) Moser of Blanchard, OK, grandson Tripp (Sydni) Youngblood of Glenpool, OK, great-granddaughter Gracie Dement and 3 great-grandsons Ryker Dement and Boss and Tuff Johnson, brother Dean Engle of Ponca City, sister Waunita Frost of Meade, KS, sister Darlene Roberts of Blanchard, Ok, and sister Linda Middleton of Newkirk, Ok.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Jack Ray Jr, sister Vivian Smith, brother Leonard Engle, brother Vern Engle, brother Larry Engle and sister Judy Lowery.
