Jackie Gene Testerman, 84, passed away January 31, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1941, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Charles and Maggie Johnson Testerman. Jackie was the youngest of eight children. He graduated from Hugo High School and went on to work for Rainbo Bread. He was a valued employee at Rainbo for 40 years before he retired in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Playing music, along with hunting and fishing, were two of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed playing the banjo, steel guitar, and acoustic guitar at family reunions and then later in life, at nursing homes with his friends. Country and Gospel music were his favorite genres. Jackie was also an avid sports fan. He would often be found watching OU football games, Dallas Cowboy games, and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games.
Jackie is survived by his spouse, LaNeta Testerman, of Midwest City, his daughter, Norma and her husband, Todd Varner, of Denton, TX, his daughter, Diana Testerman, of Oklahoma City, his son, Charles Testerman of Midwest City, and his daughter, LaTisha and her husband Steve Gonzalez, of Oklahoma City. Grandchildren include JoKyle and his wife, Hannah Varner of Anna, TX, Samantha Varner of Denton, TX, Dustin and his wife, Ashley Testerman of Noble, Celia Gonzalez of Alexandria, Virginia, and Vincent Gonzalez of Oklahoma City. Great grandchildren include Tyson Keen of Denton, TX, Jaxon and Witten Varner of Anna, TX, and Waylon Testerman of Noble.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ray Testerman, Joe Testerman, Opal Testerman Foster, Nora Testerman Smith, Nell Testerman Gant, Ethel Testerman Lewis, and Curt Testerman.
He was a simple man who cared greatly for his Sooners, his family, and his friends.
