James Allen Hunt

James Allen Hunt, known by his family and friends as Allen, passed away on March 4, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born on March 2, 1931 in Shawnee, OK to William and Mattie Hunt. He was married to Janet (Case) Hunt for 71 years, and together they had four children.

Allen loved to fly, and was a pilot earlier in his life. He later became the Vice President of a transportation company. Allen and Janet were lifelong members of Sunnylane Family Church. He was a devoted Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Son, and made a wonderful impact on the lives of those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mattie Hunt; and his son, Matthew Scott Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Janet Hunt; sons, Bill Hunt (wife Zula), Jim Hunt (wife Emily), and Steve Hunt (wife Marsha); seven grandchildren, Allen, Michelle, Janelle, Anthony, Brian, Tiffany, and Laura; ten great-grandchildren, Caleb, Trey, Josh, Katie, Alyssa, Ryan, Jacob, Xander, Amiee, and Will; two great-great-grandchildren, Trinity, Raylan; daughter-in-law, Kay Hunt; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation for Allen will be from 4-8pm Friday, March 11, 2022 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Services will be at 10am Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Sunnylane Family Church in Del City. Burial will be at 2pm Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.
