Janice Smith, precious wife, cherished mother, beloved sister and friend was accepted into Jesus' loving arms on June 21, 2006, with her husband of 49 years, Cecil, and all of her family at her bedside. She battled her lung disease with incredible dignity and amazing grace. Janice was loved by all who knew her and returned that love without limits. Janice was a long time member of The Rock Assembly of God where she loved singing in the choir, basking in the presence of the Lord and enjoying the fellowship of her extended family. Janice was involved in the horse racing industry most of her adult life in many capacities, most notably as a long time jockey agent. She is survived by her husband, Cecil J Smith, three daughters Terry Halpin, Holly Eaton and Cinda Lovekamp, two sons Devin and Tye Smith, sisters Carol Smith, Charmayne Olds, Vickie Thornton and brothers Buster Bassett and Sammie Humphrey and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10:00am Saturday at the Rock Assembley of God 12500 S. Penn with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.ection of Sunny Lane Funeral Home and Cemetery in Del City, OK.
