Jean Elizabeth (Nusbaum) Pope

Jean and LeRoy owned and operated two locations of Key Cleaners for over 20 years. She was a member of many organizations over the years, including the Sooner Dreamer Camper Club, the OK Mineral and Gem Society, she also held offices in the Soroptimist International Club including President twice, held numerous offices in the Ivy Club including President twice, and the Midwest City Garden Club, and she also held several offices with the Hospital Auxiliary. Jean spent much of her life volunteering for others. She could rarely be found without her knitting needles, knitting countless booties, hats, and blankets for the babies in the hospital NICU. Her husband was always by her side and they travelled extensively after retirement, camping, fishing, collecting rocks and visiting their family and friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy of 58 years; her parents Russell and Elizabeth (Beveridge) Nusbaum; 2 brothers, Robert and Russell; 1 sister Dorothy Pickett. Jean is survived by her daughter Elizabeth “Patti” Larsen and husband Robert Conger of Norman; 2 granddaughters, Laura Crissman of Houston, TX and Vanessa Hansson and husband, Joakim of Rome, NY; 6 great-grandchildren: Doris, Elizabeth, Anders, Rebekah, Abigail, and Katherine; 1 brother, Paul of Sykesville, MD.

A memorial service will be held Sat. Jan. 7th at 11:00 am at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK. A light reception will follow the service. Burial will be at 2:30 pm at the Summit Valley Cemetery in Guthrie.
