Jeannie Barnett was born in France on 18 December 1928. She met John Willie Barnett during World War II and they married on 28 May 1947 in France. While John was in the Air Force, they enjoyed military assignments living in France, Japan (where they adopted three children, Roy, Frances and Diane) Texas, Turkey, Florida, Viet Nam, Oklahoma, Philippines, Hawaii and finally returning back to Del City. John retired from the Air Force from Tinker AFB, OK in 1973 but continued to work for the US government until 1993.
John and Jeannie loved raising their family, traveling, fishing and camping with the children. John passed away in March of 2007. Jeannie waited until 30 October to rejoin her husband. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
