

Jeannine Creason Rucker (Odneal) entered into eternal peace on September 20, 2016 at the age of 87. Jeannine was born on December 4, 1928 in Commerce, Oklahoma to Jerry Mason and Opal Irene (Creason) Odneal.
Shortly after graduating from Commerce High School, Jeannine met her future husband, Bob J. Rucker. They married in February of 1948, at the Miami Methodist Church. Following their wedding vows, Bob whisked Jeannine away in a celebratory wheelbarrow ride down the middle of Main Street. They made their home in Miami, Oklahoma for a short time before moving to Del City when Bob took a job at Tinker Field.
Bob and Jeannine enjoyed camping and fishing while raising their three children. Many of their camping trips were taken as members of the Eagle Camping Club of Del City. Jeannine served as president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion and volunteered countless hours at American Legion Post 73 in Del City, alongside her husband; who was the last Charter Member.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; and one brother, M.C. Odneal. Jeannine leaves her family with many treasured memories. Survivors include; brother, Jerry Odneal and wife, Maryann of Shawnee; daughter, Sheryl Rucker of Del City; daughter, Marlene Bullard and husband David, of Oklahoma City; son, Robert Rucker and wife, Karen of Oklahoma City. Jeannine was a beloved grandmother to Lesa Determan and husband, Barrett of Yukon; Amanda Klupenger, and Meagan Rucker of Oklahoma City. She was a proud great grandmother to Addisyn, Raylee, Harper and Landon. Jeannine’s kind heart and gentle nature will be forever cherished.
Graveside services honoring her life will be held at Arlington Memory Gardens on September 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
