Jeptha Robert “Jep” Stallings passed peacefully from this earth on December 13, 2011 in Morgan City, LA. Jep was born in Ringling, OK to Jeptha Rufus Stallings and Lozelle (Ashby) Stallings on February 23, 1927.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Evalu (Van Cleve) Stallings; his parents; his brothers, Sonny Stallings and Ashby Stallings; and nephews, Buddy and Byron Stallings.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Nell Anderson and Katy Harris, both of Morgan City, LA; his nieces, Elissa Poole of TX, Ann Bunch and Susan Stallings of OKC, and Amy Varnado of LA; his nephew, Mark Stallings of OKC; and many cousins and grandnieces and grandnephews.
A longtime resident of Choctaw, OK, Jep served honorably in the US Navy during WWII (hence the mermaid tattoo). He retired from Tinker Air Force Base and had a great love of hunting. Graveside services will be 10:30 am Monday, December 19, 2011 at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.
