

Jerry Wayne Turner, 70, passed away at his home away from home on Lake Eufaula, May 18, 2013. The eighth of nine children, Jerry was born on May 6, 1943 in Alex, OK to John Milton and Opal Celeste (Baker) Turner.
Jerry graduated from Norman High School and later worked for T.A.F.B until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, lake trips to Eufaula, Las Vegas with his friends and OU football. He loved traveling with his family and spoiling his grandbabies.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sybil Greb, Claudia Cox, Doris Foster, Jacquetta Cawthorne, and James Turner. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Betty; first wife, Sue Schneringer; children, Scott Turner, Shelley Marquez (Sam); granddaughters, Sofia and Seleste Marquez; siblings, Wanda Turner (C. Berry), Walter Turner, Judy Gowens (Tommy). Jerry was everyone’s best friend. He never met a stranger and will be sorely missed by many, many people as he touched so many lives.
The family will be receiving guests at Bill Eisenhour Southeast in Del City from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at the Norman IOOF Cemetery.
