

Larry V. Foster was born June 23rd, 1952 in Tahlequah Oklahoma to Betty J. “Seidel” Foster and Pete “Parnenia” Foster. Larry graduated from Harrah High School in 1971 and later attended Rose State College. Larry married Sherry L “Zanola” Ennis and she bore two sons Ted Wayne “Foster” Hartley August 13th 1971 and John Weston “Foster” Hartley January 17th 1973. Larry joined the Marine Corp April 2nd of 1975 after their divorced. Larry medically retired from the Marine Corp July 1976 after a tragic accident that left him having to learn how to walk all over again. Larry met Lilly A. “Lynn” Foster now VanDusen early to mid-1975 and married April 21, 1977. Lilly gave Larry two children Brent Clay Foster October 23rd, 1978 and Gina D Watts June 7th, 1980. Ted Hartley and his spouse’s bore Larry his first grandchildren Ridge Wayne Hartley, then Ted Jr, Tristan, and Trenton. Brent Foster and his spouses bore Blazen Connor and Ereille Foster. Gina and Charles Watts brought Kiersten Watts into Larry’s life along with many exchange students Lola Schlede, Hanna Zuehlke, Priscila Miranda, and Nicole Gregolin whom have had the joy of calling Larry Pop-pop/pepaw/grandpa. Larry was hired on at Tinker Air Force Base (TAFB) as a civil servant employee in various positions throughout building 3001 from 1978 to 2019. Larry’s greatest accomplishments in life besides his children were the 41 years he spent at TAFB. He also volunteered and spent many working years with the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 916 as a union representative aiding in representing and bargaining for employees like himself at TAFB. In July of 1996 Larry and Lilly divorced. Larry then spent many years as a bachelor while aiding his children, his mother, and others though various life changes before meeting Judy D. Comstock in 2002. They married in August 2003. Judy brought twin daughter Dasha and Sasha Comstock a son-in-law and a granddaughter Abby into the marriage. Judy and Larry divorced May 21, 2019. Larry enjoyed collecting things that were reusable, riding the river bottom with his daughter, friends, and family on the ATV’s, he enjoyed riding on the zeroturn lawn mower every summer and helping others in a tight space of life’s journey. Larry would do his best to help anyone who would help him or was needing a hand up. He was not always gentle in his demeanor, but he had a soft spot for most anyone he clicked with. Larry has one living sister Donna K. Murry-Boland and her spouse of Harrah Oklahoma, a brother-in-law Allen Larson of Eugene Oregon and many nieces and nephews. Larry has two great grandchildren Zayden Edmonson and Tatum Garbutt. Larry passed December 26th at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and is preceded in death by his father Pete Foster, sister Sheila Larson and a son John Weston Hartley.
