

Leroy was a Christian and loved our Lord. Leroy joined the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country and saw action during the Korean Conflict. Later, he worked at Tinker Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic until his retirement. Leroy enjoyed working in his yard and vegetable garden, and was currently looking forward to his fall garden.
He was a proud grandpa and loved watching and attending his grandchildren’s ball games. Baseball was his passion, as he both coached and umpired for many years at the Del City Ballpark. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a very active member with the Del City American Legion, serving as a post commander.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Fowler, grandson, Chad Fowler, daughter-in-law, Teresa McCurdy; siblings, Bill Fowler, Bob Fowler, Thomas Jefferson “TJ” Fowler, Eula Mae Horn, Gertrude Hughes, Lorene Marks, Mary Bruner and Francis Holly. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Mildred Colleen Fowler; children, Richard Lee Fowler and wife Vicky, Bobby Ray Fowler; grandchildren, Richard Lee Fowler, Jr and wife Lynn, Jacob Steven Fowler and wife Ally, Brian Jay Fowler and wife Carley, Collin Fowler and wife Amy; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Dakota, Kaitlynn, Jackson, Samuel, Regan, Cooper, Sarah, Shaun, Julie, John Michael, Logan, Bella, Parker, and Remy.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Sunny Lane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com.
