Lillian B. Barnard

Lillian Beatrice “Finnbogason” Barnard, 83, of Del City, Oklahoma went home to be with the Lord on March 6th, 2014. She was born Sept. 11, 1930 to Andrew & Veiga Finnbogason in Manitoba, Canada. Lilly was the youngest of nine children. She met her husband, Alvin (Bill) Barnard when he was stationed at Gimli Air Force Base. They married on Jan. 3rd, 1948. She became a US Citizen on July 30, 1956. They were stationed in several states & countries before settling in Del City, OK. She loved her family & friends, serving others & her church. She also loved to dance, garden & travel but most importantly, loved taking care of her family. After raising her two daughters, she was proud to work at TAFB in Bldg. 3001 Sandblasting. She was a blessing to all who knew her & will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Camp & her son, Seth Camp of Del City; granddaughter, Audra Skaggs & her husband, Steve Skaggs & their son, Garrett Skaggs of Oklahoma City; sister, Rose Billan of Manitoba & many other very special family members located across Canada & the US. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Joyce (Jodi) Harvey, father, mother & brothers, Bogi, Ebe, Simbi, Fred, Baldur, sisters, Pearl & Jonina of Manitoba. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with formal vistation, Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate Lillian’s life will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 7501 E. Reno, Midwest City, OK with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., OKC, OK 73141. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City, Oklahoma.
