

He was born on March 29, 1941 to Ambrose W. and Carrie Stout Draper in Altus, Oklahoma. Most of his life, Lonnie lived in Del City, Oklahoma. He lived on Michael Place from October 1969 until his death.
Lonnie graduated from Del City High School in May 1959. He met and married Jayne Chastain December 9, 1960. They were blessed with three children: Sharie Jayne October 1962, Ronald Webb December 1972, and Cynthia Marie November 1974.
Lonnie was a true renaissance man! He was especially gifted in construction. He, along with his father, built lovely dens on both of their homes. They also built a beautiful log cabin in Hartsel, Colorado. Lonnie obtained a harvesting permit from Colorado for Lodge Pole Pine. To build the cabin, he and his father cut dead or standing trees. Lonnie, Jayne, and their families enjoyed this lovely cabin for 48 years, just recently selling the beloved place. Lonnie was extremely gifted in building many pieces of furniture, cabinets, and small tables and chairs for grandchildren.
Lonnie had a long career, 38 years, with the United States Government. First as a Letter Carrier with the Post Office then spending his final federal service as an Air Craft Mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base.
He obtained his Associate of Arts Degree from Oscar Rose Junior College in May 1974.
Lonnie loved music and had a lovely singing voice. He sang in the Meadowood Baptist Church choir. He also enjoyed playing his Martin guitar that he bought in 1957 when he was 15 years old.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Loretta Owen. Until his passing, Lonnie and Jayne were faithful servants at Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City.
Lonnie is survived by his wife Jayne, daughter Sharie and husband John Robertson, grandson Jeff and wife Heidi, great granddaughter Chloe, and great grandson Xander Robertson, granddaughter Nikki and husband Tyler Cotner, great grandson Easton and great granddaughter Eloise Cotner.
Son Ronnie and wife Melanie Draper, granddaughter Laney and fiance’ Drew Goodman.
Daughter Cynthia Jones and husband George W. Washington, granddaughter Victoria and grandson Christopher Jones.
Sister Melba Stiner, nephew Tim Carter and friend Chris Smith, niece Kathy and husband Joe Eagan and their children Paisley and Jake.
Brother and sister-in-law Ambrose and Patti Draper. Niece Amy and husband Josh Coleman and their sons Ben and Jon. Nephew Preston and wife Meagan Draper and their sons Bruce and Scottie.
Lonnie had a very strong faith that was always present in his daily walk with the Lord. He studied the Bible throughout his adult life and used this Bible study to witness to many people.
Lonnie loved his family so very much, and has a loving family that will deeply miss him!
