

Marilyn Beatrice Walker, age 70, went home to be with her Lord December 1, 2011. She was born Nov. 13, 1941 in Oklahoma City to Andrew Joseph (Joe) and Ethel Beatrice Walker. She enjoyed attending school at the Dale Evans Center and was one of the original students of the center. She also enjoyed working at the Work Activity Center in Moore where she also played basketball. Marilyn enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics bowling tournaments and won many medals. She was an avid fan of the OU, OSU and Dallas Cowboys football teams. Her favorite pastime was doing "homework" with her Bible, Math, and puzzle books. She enjoyed living at the Billings Fairchild Center in Billings, OK, and has lived there for the past 13 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew J. (Jody) Walker, and sister, Betty Margaret Springer. She is survived by brother, William C. (Charlie) Walker, and wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City; 4 nephews: Andy Springer and wife, Denise; David Springer and wife, Sonya; Dennis Walker and wife, Mary; and Joe Walker of Oklahoma City; 4 nieces: Robin Walker; Jerri Smith and husband, Wray; Jolynn Moya, and Cynthia Warner and husband, Jack; and many great nephews and nieces. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at the Sunny Lane Chapel, 4000 SE 29th St, Del City, OK, 405-677-8384. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, OK. The family will receive guests from 1:00pm-3:00pm, Saturday, Dec. 3, at Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
