Mary Imogene Wilks, 86, of Oklahoma City, passed away November 17, 2017 in Midwest City. She was born June 17, 1931 in Eastland, Texas, the daughter of Sam and Edith Criswell Elder. Mary worked in Administration for JC Penney for many years and was a member of the Lambuth United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Mary loved her church family and her family at Sommerset Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 grandsons, Trey Wilks and Kaleb Pershica. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Tanja Wilks of Choctaw, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Jerry Pershica of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Genelle Parker of Dayton, Texas and nephew, Sam Higgins also of Dayton; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 1pm to 4pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
