Patsy is survived by her two children, Shelley Mustain and husband Larry of Spencer, OK, and David Gardner and wife Darla of Ennis, TX; four grandchildren, Christopher and Austin King, and Jacob and Madalie Gardner. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Timothy Gardner; her mother, Bessie Smith; brother, Pete Smith; and sister, Margie Mechan.
After graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1962, Patsy began her career with the Department of Defense at Tinker Air Force Base. In 1964, she married her one true love, Timothy, and together they started their family. The couple moved to Bremerton, Washington, for Tim’s work, but soon returned to Oklahoma—because Patsy missed home. She resumed her work at Tinker, where she advanced from the typing pool to leading a team responsible for managing technical orders for some of the Air Force’s most advanced aircraft. She retired in 1995 after a long and distinguished career.
In retirement, Patsy enjoyed being a devoted grandmother, traveling, and going on cruises. Her greatest joy, however, was tending her garden—always in a spirited battle with the squirrels. Fiercely protective of her family, she was the glue that held everyone together through her strength, love, and faith.
Patsy was a member of Del Baptist Temple in Del City. Through the grace of our Lord, she is now reunited in Heaven with those she loved who went before her.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Patsy’s life will be held at Del Baptist Temple in Del City on December 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
