Phyllis King

My dear mother, Phyllis King, sadly passed away on July 13, 2023 due to complications after a brief illness. She was 84 years old and had lived a full life. She was very much loved and will be missed terribly.

Phyllis was born in Dale, Oklahoma and raised on a farm in McCloud. She was the wife of Dennis King who was on active duty in the Air Force and stationed in Ramstein, Germany. While in Europe she enjoyed traveling and especially loved Italy, Holland and France. She returned to Oklahoma City and became corporate secretary for the Kerr McGee Corporation.

After a move to Clovis, New Mexico she was a homemaker, mother and wife for nearly 40 years and later moved to Texas, Florida and finally returned to her home of Oklahoma.

Phyllis enjoyed cooking, was a fine seamstress and loved crafts, gardening and her dogs. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and always there when her family needed her.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis King, parents Ethel and Eddy Woodruff, sisters, Mildred Lasher and Juanita Rose, brothers Marion, James and Doyle Woodruff, and her sweet little grandson, Julian Robinson.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter Karen and Richard West, grandchildren Patrick George and Faith Robinson and great grandchildren, Anya, Roan, Ava, Ryan and Devin.

Funeral services will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home (29th street location) at 10:00 am on July 24, 2023 in Del City, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at the Dale Cemetery. We will be meeting there approximately 11:45 a.m.
