

2013. Rocky was born December 14, 1951 to Fred G. and Opal Odean
(Richardson) Smith. He graduated from Del City High school in 1970, between
1968 and 1971 he won five Regional Flyweight Golden Glove titles and three
National titles. He represented Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and part of Texas.
After winning 91 of his 103 amateur fights, he turned pro in 1971 and fought 16
times, winning 13 of them. He ran his own construction company, Advance
Construction, Incorporated and also owned a liquor store in Bethany, Oklahoma.
In 1993 he married his wife Aimee in Las Vegas, Nevada. He loved Thunder
Basketball and he was a genuine all around sports fan. He will be loved and
missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Aimee of Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma; his brother, Fred Smith and wife Frances of Del City, Oklahoma;
two daughters, Christie (Robert) and Rockell (James); one son, Josh (Kayleigh);
two grandsons, Colton and Tyler; five granddaughters, Avery, Trinity, Alexus,
Makayla, and Braylee; three special great- nieces: Danielle, Jessica, and Rylee; sister in law Millie (Andrew) and
many other special nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. A funeral service will
be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast
Chapel, Del City, Oklahoma with interment at Byars Cemetery, Byars, Oklahoma.
