

Born in Laurel, Mississippi on March 5, 1927 the daughter of John Herman and Bertha (Carter) Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband John (Jack) Elton Sprinkle Sr.; son, John (Mike) Elton Sprinkle Jr. and his wife, Dr. Debra Evans. She is survived by her two grandsons, Chad E. Sprinkle of Newcastle, OK, Jason K. Sprinkle and wife Joshalynn of Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandson Joshua C. Sprinkle and three great granddaughters, Makayla O’Brien, Jaylen M. Sprinkle and Jurnee K. Sprinkle. She eloped with husband Jack to Lucedale, Mississippi and was married November 11, 1945 until his death on July 6, 1999. She retired from FAA in Oklahoma City after serving 24 years and six additional years as a sub-contractor. During her time working, she and her husband traveled many places, including China, Panama Canal Zone, Azores Island and toured many countries in Europe. Her favorite was Panama, about which she could talk hours on end. She attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Del City where she was a member of Golden Agers where she served as an Usher. She had many groups of friends to do different things with, one for attending plays, one for traveling, one for playing cards and those to go to the casinos. She enjoyed reading so much she volunteered at the Oklahoma Library sorting and pricing books for the annual book sale, this was one of her favorite past times and she spoke often of how much she enjoyed working with the other volunteers and the fun they had together.
Others she leaves behind are very dear friends, such as those at the OKC library sort site, Kitty Zagaruyka of OKC and Thomas Creswell of St. Augustine, Fla.
