Sarah Lucille Long

Reading her Bible, studying the Lord’s word, attending and being active in the Del View Baptist Church was always very important to her. Lucille was a very talented quilter and seamstress; making many beautiful quilts and clothes for her children while they were young. Though watching baseball on the television wasn’t really for her, she never seemed to miss the World Series.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Charles; daughter, Sandra Long; siblings, Tommy Jean George, Hanford and Oneal Robinson. Survivors include her children, June Ellen Simpson (James), Edward McKinley Long (Marylin), Peggy Roberts (Ray); grandchildren, Brenda Deck (Mike), Lonnie Simpson, Steven Long (Terri), Eric Long (Lori), Lt. Col. Joshua Roberts (Heather), Daniel and Jason Roberts; great-grandchildren, Michael Deck, Crystal Deck, Madison, Brooklyn and Caleb Long, Michael Ray, Tailer, Aaron, Dillion, Austin and Eldon Roberts; brothers, Doyle and Roy Robinson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Sunny Lane Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com
