Sarah Mae Jones

Sarah Mae Jones, 83, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on Friday, July 19th, 2013. Mae was born on February 4th, 1930 in Okmulgee, OK to Everett Coy and Nora Lawson. Mae was a Christian woman with great faith and trust in God. She was a wonderful, caring, loving, and selfless wife, mother, and grandmother. Mae was, until her last moments a loving nurturer. She would do or give anything to care for her family. Mae enjoyed caring for those that she loved so dearly. She was not only a mother to her four children but a second mother to us all when we needed one. Mae will be missed by us all. We find peace in knowing that Mae is now with God and has finally been reunited with her husband JR, her daughter Beth, and all of the other family and friends that she has missed for so long. The last four years of Mae's life were spent with her granddaughter Drew (Jessica), her husband Alonzo, and their five children. Our family had the privilege of loving and caring for Mae in the last years of her life. We will all miss her dearly. The kids will miss sharing their grandma's oatmeal for breakfast each morning. Micah, our youngest, already misses going with grandma to bed at night to lay with her until she falls asleep then to go to his own bed. Mae is survived by numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21st, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22nd, 2013 in the chapel of Sunny Lane Funeral Home with burial following at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK.
