Serenity Sandra Renee Burton

Serenity Sandra Renee Burton, age 18, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on November 22nd, 2025 in Moore, Oklahoma. Serenity was born on November 16, 2007 to Derek Burton and Desiree Boulanger in Great Falls, Montana. Serenity attended Epic Charter School as a senior, where she worked hard toward her goal of graduation. Serenity was a beautiful, caring soul- the kind of person who gave more love than she ever asked for. She was ambitious and motivated, with big plans for her future and the determination to make them happen. She was also one of the most forgiving and understanding people you could ever meet. Always offering Grace even when life made it hard. Serenity touched many lives with her generous heart and her ability to make people feel seen and supported. She was a daughter, a sister, and a friend, and her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Serenity is survived by her father, Derek Burton and stepmother, Chrissy Rowell; her sister, Desiree Carter; her brother, Eric Skulrud; her stepbrother, Landon Lewis; and her stepsister, Jaelyn Rowell. She is also survived by her grandparents, Nassif Chbani and Mirna McCormack as well as her grandparents, Doyle and Mary Burton. Additional survivors include her uncles, Sami Chbani, Zaky Chbani, and Jeremy Burton. Serenity was preceded in death by her grandmother Sandee Chbani. Though her time here on earth was far too short, we take comfort in knowing she is now held in the everlasting peace of our Lord. We trust that she rests safely in His presence, where there is no more pain, only joy, and we look forward to the day we are reunited with her and God’s eternal promise.
