

Long time resident of Oklahoma City, Sherry Diane Robertson born August 7, 1938 in Ardmore, OK passed into Eternal Life on March 28, 2009 after a courageous struggle to overcome complications after heart surgery. Deeply devoted to her husband, six children, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, she was a delightful woman who loved the Lord and loved her family. Diane enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, tending to her beautiful garden, reading and writing literature, needle point and an occasion card game with her close friends. During the 60s and 70s she worked as a surgical nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. Surviving family include husband, Alfred E. Robertson - OKC, mother, Edith J. Carruth - Shawnee, brother, Thomas B. Carruth, Jr. - OKC, sister, Patricia A. Carruth-Durrett - Edmond, son, Anthony Gene Stephens - Tonasket, WA, daughter, Gay Lynn Stephens - OKC, son, Terry Scott Stephens - OKC, daughter, Erica Lee Sillivan - OKC, son, David Benjamin Ringer - Tulsa, and son Jerald Paul Ringer - OKC. Grandchildren include: Scott Anthony Stephens, Franklin James White, Scotty Leslie White, Daniel Paul Stephens, Christopher Scott Lewis, Tiffany Ann-Renee Lewis, Michael Alex Robertson, Tyler Ray Stephens and Caleb Scott Stephens. Great grandchildren include: Jake Shaver, Trent Shaver, Aidan Lewis, Jocelyn Stephens and McKenzie-Lynn Robertson. Diane is also survived by the following nieces and nephews: Brandon Carruth, Stephanie Adams, Gary Carruth, Darren Durrett, and Brenden Durrett. Diane is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Brandon Carruth, Sr., brother Darryl Carruth, son William Ray Stephens, and grandparents C.D. and Mattie Williams, and Thomas Benjamin and Maude Carruth. Her graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Sunny Lane Funeral Home and Cemetery in Del City, OK.
