Wilbur Lloyd Jones, 94, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. He was born in Soper, OK, on June 13, 1916, moved to Blair, OK, as a child, and served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He later moved to Midwest City and lived in the area for the rest of his life. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 30 years, then retired and drove the train and boat at the Oklahoma City Zoo. He was very active in Midwest City Band Parents, Boy and Girl Scouts, and Wickline Methodist Church for many years.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Thomas M. and Lillie Jones, and his wife Maxine. He is survived by his wife, Bee; two sons, Stan Jones of Overland Park, KS, and Ken Jones of Moore; daughter Helen Downing of Saugatuck, MI; and stepson Ross Collins, Okla. City. Grandchildren include Austin Jones, Overland Park, KS; Travis Jones, Champaign, IL; Emily and Sean Syfert, Saugatuck, MI; and Katie Jones, Moore.
