William retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a boxer while he was in the navy and played football in high school and college. William enjoyed the outdoors. He attended Family Cathedral of Praise and helped with the upkeep of the church.
He is survived by his wife Mary, three children; Kesia Harris, Kevin and wife Robin Williams, and Kelly Lange, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one son.
