

IDELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Aline Terrebonne Danos, age 85, at 3:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Nathan Comeaux will be the celebrant. Mrs. Danos will be laid to rest with her husband in Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen Monday from 8:00 am until 2:30 pm.
Aline Terrebonne Danos was born August 27, 1930 to the late Herbert Terrebonne, Sr. and the late Ida Cheramie Terrebonne and was raised in Lafourche Parish. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Danos was a faithful and longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. As a homemaker, she devoted her life to the love and care of her family. Whether it was spending time visiting or sharing a home cooked meal, those times were precious to her. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spoiled them with love. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Dale D. Landry and husband Velton of Delcambre, Darlene Danos of Delcambre, Debbie D. Daigle and husband Scottie of Delcambre, Joey A. Danos and wife Lisa of New Iberia, and Jake A. Danos and wife Claire of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Tessie Landry Trappey and husband John, Wes Landry and girlfriend Robyn Shepherd, Hailie Landry Wiehe and husband Jeff, Ryan Comeaux and wife Holly, Janie and Kelli Daigle, Jeanne and Alex Danos, and Olivia and Anne Marie Danos; her five great grandchildren, Lidia and Hannah Trappey, Lorelai Wiehe and Collin and Cole Comeaux; a sister, Adeline Callais of Cut Off, LA; sister-in-law, Katherine Terrebonne of Thibodaux, LA; and brother-in-law, Harris Danos of Houma, LA.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Danos; sisters, Edith T. Savoie and Ida T. Collins; brothers, Herbert Terrebonne, Jr. and Wilbert Terrebonne; and a Godchild, Clarence Callais, Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are her sons, Joey and Jake Danos; grandsons, Wes Landry, Ryan Comeaux and Alex Danos; sons-in-law, Velton Landry and Scottie Daigle, and nephew, Allen Callais.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Heart of Hospice, especially Darryl Jackson, Chaplain, Dede Molette, CNA, Twanda Amos, Chaplain and Patrice LeBlanc, Nurse. Your care and compassion will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Danos’ name to Heart of Hospice, 201 W. Vermilion St., Lafayette, LA 70501.
