Gerald Gene Comeaux Sr.

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Gerald Gene Comeaux, Sr., age 76, at 3:30 pm on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating and Fr. Conley Bertrand as concelebrating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum in Delcambre.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Russell Hayes at 7:00 pm on Sunday. The funeral home will reopen on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 9:00 am until the time of services.

A resident of Erath, Mr. Comeaux passed away at 6:17 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Comeaux worked for over 40 years in the oil field industry for companies including Tuboscope, B&C Fabricators, and Unifab. Gerald enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching the watching the Saints play football, and spending time with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all those he knew and loved.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lucille Chatagnier Comeaux; four sons, Gerald Comeaux, Jr. and wife Lisa of Abbeville, William Comeaux and wife Rose of Moss Bluff, Barry Comeaux and wife Regine of Lafayette, and Robert Comeaux of Erath; grandchildren, James Comeaux and wife Amanda, Karen Comeaux, Phillip Comeaux, Holly Comeaux, Andrew Comeaux, Alex Comeaux, Emmie Dowdy, and Alyse Dowdy; great-grandchildren, Kylee Scanlan and Ava Harrington; mother, Josephine Romero Comeaux; brother, Floyd Comeaux; and sister, Katie Reaux.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Comeaux.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Comeaux, Jr., William Comeaux, Barry Comeaux, Robert Comeaux, James Comeaux, and Phillip Comeaux.
