Jim Ray J. Richard Sr.

DELCAMBRE– Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Jim Ray J. Richard, Sr., age 77, at 3:00 pm Friday, July 6, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum with military honors by Vermilion Parish Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday, July 05, 2012 with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday, July 6, 2012 until service time.

A native of Delcambre and resident of Erath, Mr. Richard passed away at 12:15 am on Wednesday, July 4 2012 at his residence.

Jim was a simple man who lived a simple life. He enjoyed shrimping and spending time with his friends, children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Jim Ray, Jr. of Delcambre; daughters, Elizabeth Landry and husband Floyd of New Iberia and Yvette Hebert and husband Keith of Erath; brothers, Russell Richard and Dalton Richard; sisters, Mary Jane Kern and Bonnie Richard; grandchildren, Magen Landry, Brody Landry, Cade Landry, Robie Hebert, Dayna Hebert, Kevin Gary, Jodi Richard and Jacob Richard; and great-grandchild, Jax Landry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Yodes and Vina Richard.

Pallbearers will be Jodi Richard, Kevin Gary, Cade Landry, Brody Landry, Charles Lee Dugas, Jr. and Tommy Verrett.
