Philip James Romero

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Philip James Romero, age 61, at 10:00 am Friday, October 3, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native and resident of Erath, Philip passed away at 9:30 pm on Monday, September 29, 2014 at his residence.

He is survived by one daughter, Tasha Romero of Delcambre, one son, Lance Romero of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Jayden Romero, Kya Romero, and one on the way, Kaysen Romero; three brothers, Kenneth Romero and wife Sandy of Erath; George Romero of Delcambre and Carl Romero of New Orleans; one step brother, Tommy Cunningham of Henry and two step sisters, Chris Cunningham and Glenda Cunningham both of Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philibert and Nella Geoffroy Romero and his girlfriend, Sylvia “Bonnie” Toups.

Pallbearers will be Niles Romero, Chase Romero, Troy Steen, Justin Romero, Michael Romero, Isaac Laviolette and Paul Krato.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Romero, Jayden Romero and Hunter Derouen.
