Sheila Broussard LeBlanc

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sheila Broussard LeBlanc, age 67, at 11:00 am Monday, July 26, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Voorhies will be the celebrant, with Fr. Herb Bennerfield as the con-celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of services.

Ms. LeBlanc passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 at her residence in Delcambre.

Sheila was employed with Hilcorp Energy in the accounting department for over 12 years. Outside of her career, she enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Her most treasured moments were those spent with family and friends. She leaves behind many fond memories to be cherished by those whose lives she touched.

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Paige Duplechien (Nicky), and Stacey LeBlanc Trail of Youngsville; her grandchildren, Asa Trail and Talon Duplechien; her mother, Marjorie Thibodeaux Broussard of Delcambre; two sisters, Lisa Bowen (Ricky) of Delcambre, and Maxine Johnson (Robert) of Houston; one brother, Michael Broussard (Elina Fay) of Abbeville; a son-in-law, Tye Trail; her godchild, Shelly Migues; and a dear friend, Lanette Trahan, whom she thought of as a daughter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dalton Broussard; her daughter, Patrice “Tricie” LeBlanc; an infant son; and her brother, Peter Broussard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bart Johnson, Nicky Duplechein, Tye Trail, Michael Broussard, Kris Bowen, and Beau Broussard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Huval, Ricky Bowen, Mike, Matt and Brandt Broussard, Robert Johnson, Jim Neef, and Jose Luis Merino.
