

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Whitney Joseph Renard, age 98, at 11:00 am Saturday July 17, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at Our lady of the lake Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 am until services.
A native and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Renard passed away at 3:30 am on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Maison du Monde Nursing Home.
Mr. Renard was a farmer who grew sugar cane, corn, and cotton, as well as raising cattle. He also co-owned a boat company with his son and they worked in the oil and gas industry for many years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Harold Joseph Renard, Sr. and wife Kathy of Delcambre; five grandchildren, Colette Voorhies and husband David of New Iberia, Angie Babineaux and husband Todd of Delcambre, Halley Renard Clostio and husband Cody of Erath, Mandy Bourque and husband Troy of Delcambre, and Hal Renard, Jr. and wife Camie of Delcambre; seven great grandchildren, Brooklyn Babineaux, Damien Babineaux, Lexi Voorhies, Tucker Bourque, Sever Renard, Zaylor Clostio, and Cayden Renard. Mr. Renard is also survived by one sister, Zeda R. Migues of Delcambre and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Rodrigue; parents, Robert and Cora Dutil Renard; one brother, Sidney Renard and wife Celia Landry Renard; one sister, Odelia Renard LeBlanc and husband Alphonse LeBlanc; and brother-in-law, Rufus Migues.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Migues, Tommy Mire, Danny Baudoin, Troy Bourque, Todd Babineaux, and John C. Renard.
