He was born January 8, 1935 in New York City to his parents, Helen & Leo Pfirsich. A Korean War Veteran, who just after his discharge, met Anneleen (nee Gross), at the Laurels Country Club in the Catskills. They have been married for 67 loving years. His early years had him recruited by the St. Louis Browns as a shortstop, an 8-0 record as a boxer, a General Manager of Tru-Form shoes and finally, as an actor playing roles as a simulated patient for nursing departments of local universities and off-off broadway local theater.
He is survived by his loving sons, Keith (Elyse) and Steven (Marie), grandchildren Gary, Lacey, Toni and Raffaella, loving nephews Michael (Risa), Brian and Jonathan. A niece Cheryl, deceased. And numerous friends who enjoyed his sense of humor. His wish to have all his children, grandchildren and nephews together, in his home, his own bed with his wife, was granted and he couldn’t have had a better send-off.
