January 10, 2024. She was born on September 30, 1938, in New York, NY
to the late Bella and Solomon Carasso. Lorraine was a beloved mother,
sister, partner, aunt, great aunt, great great aunt and dear friend
who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lorraine was a kind and warm-hearted woman, known for her love and
devotion to her family and friends. She had a passion for teaching and
dedicated her career to shaping young minds. Lorraine's educational
journey began at Lawrence High School in NY and continued at Hood
College and Hofstra University, where she earned two master's degrees.
In her free time, Lorraine enjoyed traveling and cherished family
get-togethers. She found great joy in exploring new places and
creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Caryn Levy (Mary Schilpp), her
granddog Stella Levy and her son Adam Levy. She is also survived by
her sister Sandra Wein (Larry), her brother Stephen Carasso, as well
as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand
nieces and great grand nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her
loving husband, Maurice Levy, her sister Gladys Goldberg (Sidney), and
her sister Pauline Israel (Isaac).
Lorraine's partner, Henry Cohen, was her rock and provided unwavering
support for the past 20 years. Their love and companionship brought
great happiness to both of them.
A memorial service to celebrate Lorraine's life will be held on
Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 11am. The service will take place at
Riverside-Stanetsky in Delray Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made
in Lorraine's memory to JARC, located at 21160 95th Ave S, Boca Raton,

Lorraine Carasso Levy will forever be remembered for her kindness,
warmth and love. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives
she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
