Charlotte Mynona Ginn Young

Visitation for Charlotte will be from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Bratcher Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 9, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church, 300 W. Acheson St., Denison, TX 75020, with Rev. Danny Broughton officiating. Pallbearers will be Andrew McNeil, Samuel Young, Zachary Young, Frank McCarthy, Richard Young, Jr. & Jordan Young. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090.

Charlotte was born February 22, 1935 in Tabler, Oklahoma, the daughter of Burton Lee Ginn, Sr. and Marjorie Maude Griswold. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Denison; graduated from Ninnekah, Oklahoma High School, where she loved to play basketball (half court at that time); was secretary to Charlie Watson “Watson Burgers”; lived in Hugo, Oklahoma from 1973 to 2009,when she moved back to Denison.

She is survived by sons Boyd Young & wife Tina of Denison, TX, Richard Young & wife Amy of O’Fallon, MO; daughters Carol McNeil & husband Mark of Katy, TX, Susan Wilson & husband Rick of Benbrook, TX; brother Jimmy Cooper of Ninnekah, OK; sisters Kathy Huffines & husband Ronnie of Moore, OK, Sheryl Collins & husband Doug of Ninnekah, OK, Delma Winstone of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren Andrew & Hannah McNeil, Kynna & Stephen Hamilton, Samuel & Zachary Young, Richard, Jr. & Jordan Young; great-grandchildren Madelaine & Sophia Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Samuel W. Young.
