Danny Joel Shaw

Danny was born January 9, 1960 in Abilene, Texas to Carrol Miles Shaw of Southland, Texas and Loretta (Jones) Shaw of Bosque, Texas. His family moved to Denison, Texas when he was four years of age. He spent his remaining years in Denison. At age fourteen, he began learning the trade of flooring installation. He became an independent contractor and worked many years in his trade of choice. He also worked for McGee Construction, Kawneer and as a bartender at the Long Branch Saloon.

He enjoyed playing pool and the company of close friends. He enjoyed music, learning to play the guitar and piano. He had a passion for fishing and the outdoors.

Danny found unconditional love and married the joy of his life, Evelyn Philagios on January 8, 2000, remaining in love as partners and best friends.

A man of few words but often spoke from his heart. He loved and cared deeply for those he held close in his heart. He was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw.

He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Chris Randall Shaw and a brother “Pete” Auther Carrol Shaw.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Shaw of Denison, step-sons Eddie Olsen and wife Misty of Denison and Eric Olsen and wife Christine of Colbert, Oklahoma; daughters Tamara Curtis and husband Micheal, Janell Shaw and significant other Jason Huff of Colbert, Oklahoms; brothers Walter Shaw and wife Francis of Denison, Greg Shaw and wife Sandy of Denison, Harry Shaw and wife Kay of Bowie, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
