David Scott Moy Sr.

POTTSBORO – David Scott Moy, 71, died Jan. 4, 2012, at his home in Pottsboro. He was born Aug. 3, 1940 in the Heights area of Houston. He was the son of Charles and Bonnie Moy. He attended Reagan High School where he was a member of the football team, and was also a member of the Sea Scouts. He attended the University of Houston where he received a degree in engineering. He retired from Certain-Teed Pipe Company as Chief Engineer/Products Manager. Dave also served in the United States military from 1966 to 1968.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charles Lee Moy of Houston, and his brother, Robert Moy of Pottsboro. Dave is survived by his daughter, Cindy Moy Boyton of Florida, son, Scott Moy of Tomball, and son, Joe Moy of Ocoee, Fla. His grandchildren are Jessica Atsala of Houston, Lauren Boyton of Florida, Ashley Moy of Tomball, and Nicholas Moy and Christopher Moy, both of Ocoee, Fla.

A gathering of friends of Dave Moy will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at the VFW, Post 7873. The VFW and PVES will sponsor the gathering.
