

She was born in Plainview, AR to Homer Lee and Frances Lucille Compton Norman on January 30, 1923. After graduating from Midland High School, Midland, TX, in 1940, she worked at the Army Air Force Bombardier School in Big Spring Texas. There, she met and married Albert Ray Kidd on January 14, 1944.
Willene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Denison where she was an active member of Circle III. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 65 years and was in the Denison Beta Zeta Master Chapter of Bata Sigma Phi.
She and Ray loved to travel, and they made many trips across the US and Canada in their motor home. They also enjoyed their gatherings and travels with their friends and other members of the Antique Airplane Association and the Vixen RV Association.
Willene is survived by her daughters, Starling Ford of Denison and Tonda Crenshaw and husband Allen of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Blair Ford of Denison, Courtney Hutson and husband Jimmy of Carrollton, TX, Kelly Crenshaw and Andrew Crenshaw, both of Fayetteville, AR; and five great-grandchildren, Austin and Blake Hutson of Carrollton, Emerson Crenshaw and Victoria and Anderson Crenshaw of Fayetteville, AR; and one niece, Kathy Norman Kovak and husband John. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Homer Lee Norman, Jr.
Family visitation will be at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, January 27, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Bratcher Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
