Gertrude Nancy Chumley

Gertrude was born Friday, December 8, 1922 in Achille, Oklahoma. She married Clarence Chumley on September 28, 1940 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death. She worked for Underwood’s Bar-B-Que in Lubbock, Texas as a slicer; Pool Manufacturing in Sherman, Texas and Texas Instruments in Sherman. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by son Larry Chumley of Sadler, Texas; daughter Nancy Darnell and husband Robert of Whitesboro; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband Clarence; sons Charles, David, Ronnie; daughters-in-law Patti and Elizabeth.

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison for visitation Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
