

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Bratcher Funeral Home, with Donny Bahlman officiating. Family and friends visitation will be at 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 10, 2011 at Bratcher Funeral Home.
Homer was born February 4, 1924 in Horatio, Arkansas, the son of George and Lily Manion McDaniel. He was active in the Baptist Church until his health declined. He loved music and to sing. His favorite song was “I’ll Fly Away.”
Homer was a very interesting person and had many interests; he spoke three different languages; loved to travel and had traveled over most of the world; served in Texas Silver Haired Legislature from 1988-1994; received many awards, including Retired Senior Volunteer program in 1993; in 1983 Nursing Home volunteer, also in 1978 Outstanding and Significant personal services for Texas Dept. of Human Resourses and many more. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by granddaughter Lisa McDaniel; 3 great-granddaughters; sisters Loraine Elrod and Esther Reynolds; numerous nieces and nephews, including Donny Bahlman and Mary Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Homer Lynn Jr.
