James Terrell Hayden

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 23, 2011 at Fairview Cemetery, 1501 State Hwy. 91 N in Denison. Rev. Alan Mattingly will officiate.

James was born May 20, 1927 in Sherman, Texas, the son of Virgil Hayden & Margaret B. Bond. He was of the Baptist faith; served in the US Air Force; worked for General Dynamics and in landscaping for T.I.; loved to fish & garden.

He is survived by his wife Rosa of Denison; sons Robert D. Hayden & wife Ellie of Oregon, James E. Hayden & wife Donna K. of Sherman, Douglas Hayden & wife Brenda of Louisiana, Carl Hayden & wife Virginia of Sherman, Mark Hayden & wife Angela of Bonham; daughters Kathy Smithson of Denison, Karen King & husband Bobby of Denison, Laura Jones & husband Jackie of Georgia; 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; life-long friends Larry Moss & Paul Demostheines. Also raised 2 granddaughters, Donna Hayden of Sherman & Misty Creed of Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Billy & Dale; sisters Louise Woods & Mildred Forester; grandson Henry Clay Binkley; son David Hayden.
